As most of you know, I’m at school this summer doing research. I’m working with two other students (Adrian Metler, who’s in my year, and Ed Miller, who just graduated and will be going to grad school at UCLA next year) and a professor, Ran Libeskind-Hadas (the first name sounds just like “Ron;” don’t even try to pronounce the surname). We’re doing research in optical network virtual topologies, specifically an algorithm for producing such a network on a unidirectional ring with multiple sources and destinations in which each node’s transmissons are limited by a constant. If you want to see more (my guess would be Dad and AB, maybe), I put the last version that (we hope) actually works up here. There are a few bugs in that version, but they should not decrease the readability any (there are plenty of equations for that). In fact, since it took us a few weeks of working on it before we even found them, ten magic gold stars to anyone who figures them out.
