My mom and I made chicken soup for dinner tonight in the Crock Pot. We put the entire chicken in, with all kinds of vegetables, to cook for about five hours. The only problem is that we totally forgot what time in the afternoon we had started cooking.
Come six o’clock or so, we both started getting a bit hungry, so we went to check on the soup. I lifted the cover off the pot and stabbed the chicken with two forks, lifting it out.
Mom: Does that look done to you?
At this point, one of the wings of the chicken fell off onto the table.
Me: Yeah, I think it’s probably done.
