The Name Of The Dog

Posted in General at 5:11 pm by Ian

My cousin Sophia wrote out to her friends that she had recently gotten a long haired-chihuahua, which is like a dog only smaller, and she was soliciting a name for her. She wanted to make sure it wasn’t cutesy.

I, using the time-tested theory that all animal names should include colons in them somewhere, responded with what I still think is an excellent name

Fang: Destroyer of Ankles

She ended up going with “Charlie,” which I think is cute, and a great girls’ name. But, as you can see below, clearly does not do her justice.

This picture was taken by a professional photographer friend of Sophia’s and is reproduced here with his permission. You can see more pictures of Charlie here, and his work in general at www.braveelements.com.

I don’t use “the word” very often, but that dog is ridiculously c-u-t-e :ninja:
