Uhm… Aren’t You Supposed To Take Those Out?

Posted in General at 4:43 pm by Ian

I just got an “Assert failure” while using Adobe Premiere 6.5.

Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t you usually not have assert statements in production code?

Well, at least you’ll be able to debug it better…

You should demand your money back. You paid what, $40000 for the bandwidth to download it?

From the “Linux Programmer’s Manual” for assert:

The purpose of this macro is to help the programmer find bugs in his program. The message “assertion failed in file foo.c, function do_bar(), line 1287” is of no help at all to a user.

Someone should tell adobe to RTF! 😉
