I was informed that Scripps, for lunch today, had Matzo Ball soup… in a bread bowl.

And we all know how tempting bread can be. The Devil’s confectionary, I call it. Luckily, I wasn’t there.

Ah. Matzo ball soup is made during Passover because it has no leavening agent. But, see, Jews can’t eat it if it’s in a bread bowl.

I dunno about that, Ian. Seems to me that you could just eat the soup and ignore the fact that the bowl’s edible. But then, you probably shouldn’t listen to me for advice on how to be a good Jew…
