Transient Evil

Posted in General at 2:58 pm by Ian

There’s something incredibly satisfying about arriving home and, seeing the lights out and knowing that that must mean that your roommate is playing Resident Evil, slowly opening the door and shuffling in with a “MooaaAaarraggghhhh”

“Pfftt. You aren’t a zombie,” he said.

But I could tell he was scared.

Far more scared than I was when, a few minutes later, at the precise moment a giant snake dropped down out of the rafters in the game, Sasha chose to leap onto my chest.

“AAaaagh!!” I said calmly.
“Bad cat!”

Ouch. Too bad one can’t train a cat to learn real from imaginary. Sounds like she was really scared.

She barely even notices the screen except when it’s got something on it to chase. She just felt like climbing me.
